Help Protect & Save Birds
When natural disasters strike it decimates a bird's natural habitat, which can mean starvation or death for a bird.
Birds help with pest control by eating bugs, they help with pollination and seed propagation. When a natural disaster hits, it can wipe out trees, bushes and other areas where birds would normally build their nests. When habitats are destroyed, it results in bird endangerment. Lack of safe habitats mean they are hunted by larger animals, they have nowhere to safely lay eggs and are subject to the harsh elements.
This sweet bird was rescued and sent supplies to help her thrive.
Help supply a safe shelter for our winged companions! The supplies you support will go to areas affected by natural disasters, wildlife sanctuaries, reserves, and other areas in need, as well as classrooms and other facilities to help people learn about birds and how vital they are to the environment.Â
Impact:Â
- Mountain View Wildlife Rehabilitation was very grateful for the gift of bird houses. "We assist Kentucky Fish and Wildlife along with intakes from the general public. We work with everything from field mice to deer and everything in between." "The gazebo birdhouse has been installed on the 11 acres of Mountain View Wildlife Rehabilitation's facility. We feel they will be very beneficial to our facility to assist in natural pest control not to mention providing great housing for our local bird populations. We are in the process of distributing the bird houses in key locations even in the city limits of Hazard to assist in natural pest control. They are easy to install and very well made and will last for a long time." "Thank you for your devotion to animals worldwide."
