Help Care for Dogs & Cats at Greek Refugee Camps
Your gift can help save their lives.Â
Greece has a large stray animal population with many dogs and cats competing for food and resources at refugee camps across the country.
The residents at these camps share what food they have with the animals, but it is often not enough. While they cherish the dogs and cats that live among them, they simply cannot afford the care they need.Â
Overpopulation of stray animals can contribute to health, sanitation and hygiene problems when left unchecked.
Our partners are working with local animal organizations to help these dogs and cats get the food and medical care they need and reduce the number of litters through spay and neuter.
You can help save lives by funding these teams of heroes — allowing them to humanely trap stray cats and dogs and give them the medical care they so desperately need.Â
Let’s show these animals that someone cares. Donate today!
Veterinary Clinics: Spring 2025Â
Clinics at three different refugee camps in Greece resulted in over 340 cats and dogs getting the care they needed (including spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchips), some finding new homes, and a stronger sense of community among the people who care for them.
The team also held educational sessions about animal safety and hygiene for the residents to help increase awareness and keep the human and animal populations healthier.Â
