Medical Problem: Broken leg with exposed bone

Treatment: Emergency surgery

 

Pogo arrived at a local shelter as a stray with a severe injury to his front leg. The radius and ulna bones broke through the skin causing a nasty open wound with exposed bone. This sweet boy was in so much pain and struggling to walk. 

Due to the severity of the injury, Pogo needs a leg amputation. He will need to be on crate rest for a couple of weeks but can make a full recovery as a tripod. After being alone and in pain for so long, Pogo, may finally have a chance at being healed and finding a loving home.
