Ixchel in the Forest Handwoven Maguey Fiber Open Basket from Guatemala

Woven by hand, this basket is designed by Alida Cruz. She works with natural maguey fibers to create a circular basket. Forest green circlets adorn the piece; these feature cotton threads crocheted by hand over recycled soda pop-tops.
