No Room at the Inn Applique Christmas stocking

Stars fill the night sky on a quiet Christmas Eve. Joseph leads the donkey that Mary rides as he seeks an inn for the night. Leonor Quispe works in the traditional art of arpillería (patchwork) to create an heirloom Christmas stocking. Each tiny figure is crafted in three dimensions and lavishly embroidered. The colorful background fabric emulates traditional hand-loomed cloth.
