Update: Chuckie turned out to be a real fighter. He completed a full course of treatment, recovered and transformed! Now he is a beautiful, strong and cheerful dog who trusts people again and appreciates every moment of life.

Thank you for your support.

Chuckie was rescued from a destroyed home in Ukraine where he was tied up and unable to escape.

The poor dog is severely malnourished with every bone in his body showing and suffering from a painful skin disease, demodectic mange.

He has been without food and water for a while, and it is a miracle he survived. Chuckie is very sick and will need months of intensive care.

Despite all the pain and suffering, he wags his tail which brings his rescuers hope that he will pull through.
